Saldus & Liepaja

Jo yoe jou, feeling the

sunshine in my bedroom and with just a woman sleeping on it, I was wondering about where my roomm8s could be. And my thought got the answer when in the very moment of passing through my mind they entered sigiliously. Then I say "ciaooo, how it was!" the italian girl was saying Fspanish words about one guy that was trying to enter to the hostel when they were outside at the stairs smoking. But not just because of that, merely due to he tried to rob her cam. When he had it on her hand, she said "what d f*ck r u doin'?" And she told me he started to shout and going crazy and run away as fast as an ostrich. I was saying to myself, my god, all things one have to know and listen before waking up. But.. it was just 5 o'clock in the morning! So that..I kept on sleeping. At half past nine their mobile phones were ringing in allarm mode. The old woman wasn't more in her bed. First thing I did was having a look to all my stuff. Everything was OK.
We'd a great breakfast, enough to say with 6€ I've paid at least my breakfast.
Before getting the bus, I went to ask if there was any train to Saldus. Nobody of the office assistans had a face to rely on. Choosing one randomly, answered me like thinking and watching the screen of the computer with no idea of what to say or if there was or not. It didn't matter, it just confirmed my decision to get a bus instead of a train.
OMG, was full the autobus. Despite being every half and hour or less. The highway called A9, was like the old one from Coruña to Santiago, I mean, everything but a motorway.
When I arrived at Saldus, I asked to one of the ticket sellers about the Tourist info and she answered me thinking aloud the meaning of that, she'd no idea of English, but not only her, also her colleagues. So I said, OK I'm not at Riga, here tourism seems only for people from Latvia. The thing was, after walking it among its streets, all that I discovered was the Ortodox church that I'd already seen from the bus. Even though, I'd also seen a lake before enterin' the city, so being guided by a some signs that said something like "parkaas" I went all along a river hided between trees. The wind was rustleing all leaves. Small waterfalls could also being felt with the different senses. Finally, arriving to the place where the lake could be watched from it. A sightseeing point to take pictures n'stuff. There was a couple reminding me I was alone, in that trip, in sentimental life.. Last thing I might doubt about it, but that's another topic not to treat here lol.
L8er I finally reached Liepaja, on the SW of Latvia, very near to the Lituanian border. I'd in my mind how to get to the hostel I'd seen. However, when I arrived, to the point that was marked with a red dot, there was a shop of I didn't know what and there was no other entrance. In the 2nd floor could be read in very tiny letters "B&B". But haven't seen any entrance, just that of the shop that had a kind of ringbell that I rang without giving back no response from anyone.
So, as I only knew the "argonaut" but it didn't appear in hostelworld for the weekend, so I only knew the... SOVIETIC PRISON, when remembering it made remind me a photo of the inside of a jail and two places -can not be called beds or similar- to sleep. I knew it was beside the sea in the North part of the city, but I went a bit to the south just being guided by big roads and buildings, but it was finally the city centre. I checked on a map of a bus stop and I turned around and all straight to the North men. The thing was, passing a way a "Brise Hotel" or something like that I read, I was whispering "It could be a hostel..so that I'd leave here right now my heavy computer- with the aim of arriving to any cheap place where I could sleep. I re-read it once again and it was no "hotel", it was Hostel! My eyes couldn't believe it, specially my back. So I asked about the price and she told me they only had economic rooms and of course was what I wanted, she was explaining to me how it was (shared bathroom and staff..) in a bit difficult English as it was for her trying to explain me everything. At the end, she decided to show it to me and when I saw two beds a table with two chairs, all for me for 9 Lats (about 15€) I said.. where do I have to sign? LOL A great deal. Of course there wasn't any kind of dorm cheaper or stuff. But for 15€ this room...was a good deal, definitely. I left my computer hidden between the sheets and the pillow, the door double locked and I asked her what I could visit the rest of the evening.. She said..nothin, like.. there's nothing to see here. I replyd her with OK, I'll go for a walk and I'll see, NP. MG, it seems they're not already prepared for tourism.
As the sun was falling down, I wanted to go to watch the dusk and photograph it. And that's what I did dude. Going for a walk till the road finished with the broken bridge. Not broken by itself, broken by a drunk captaing in control of a boat. That was the only thing the reception doll told me, there was no exit from there when I told her I wanted to search the prison. I bought also suplies for dinner&breakfast (juices, soja and chocolate) LOL.

photos: Nice -orthodox- churches in Saldus. Nature walk along the river before entering in Saldus town. My room in Liepaja. All what I had along the promenade beside the "beach hotel". Captivating the sunset. The famous bridge where the drunk captain crashed his boat. A railway to nowhere. The sand. The sun hiding slowly. My "writing" desk.
