Non Plastic Bag Day 2010

It's all about sustainability... Thanks to a CSer I finished involved in such an interesting day. For first time in Barbados were introduced the cloth bags, an alternative to the always no way of reciclyng floppy plastic bags. It was in the NWcoast, in Holetown where we went. We were first on the beach there and afterwards so motivated interviewing people in the Super Centre, specially old ones, who were really aware of the problem. They argumented with more than enough reason that years ago there were not these plastic bags and now there are people just working for putting things inside them without asking you if you have any other thing or whatever. So of course, the formation, should start first for the shopping assistants and of course showing with the example. I learnt so much, I practiced my eco vocabulary and I met really nice people (young couples did not have time for that).

Anyway, I just end up that night in a villa with about 10 montrealers and singing karaoke. Having fun non stop. Vancouver feelings&memories came back again with such a big group of young nice people.
